It was probably another really bad idea, one of the ones she wasn't going to be able to tell Danny about, but ever since Hannibal had brought up hunting dinosaurs, Kate kind of hadn't been able to get it out of her head. She wasn't bringing her gun -- as far as she was concerned, it wasn't even hers anymore, she didn't want it -- but she figured he'd take care of that part of the trip. Since hunting seemed to be a thing he'd done in the past, she trusted that he wasn't going to expect her to wrestle one down with her bare hands. She'd sooner climb a giant tree to get out of its way than actually try to take down a dinosaur.

Still, she was going. And she wasn't trying to look especially cute, but Effy's makeup had been there and if she'd put on a little, it was only because it was available. Besides, she was just naturally cute, she couldn't help it. She definitely wasn't going out of her way. Not for dinosaur hunting.

She couldn't very well wear flip flops for this, which was pretty much the only thing she wore, so she'd spent the day before hunting through the box until it had given her a pair of running shoes both suitable and not terribly ugly. Sitting on the front step of her hut, she laced the shoes as she waited for Hannibal, wondering if she should have told someone where she was going. Just in case the two of them got eaten or stuck in a tree or something.

"You're the boss," she teased, kissing him once more before she sat up again, drawing her knees up higher on either side of his chest. Everything felt so good already and she just wanted him, she wanted everything and she shivered, fingers pressing through his hair as she moved.
