As a kid, Kate had always wanted super powers, something to make her fly, a potion to take her away, a way to make herself invisible so she could slip through the alters unnoticed. Even now, it appealed to her, but she didn't say anything.
"No water," she said, peeking over the edge of the pool. "But there's a lot of money down there." It wasn't money she recognized, though. Someone else's face was on those bills.
