"Jesus," Carla Jean said, eyes widening a little at the sound. To her credit, she managed to fend off the impulse to reach for her gun already. Chances were, it was nothing, though the story Kate told didn't offer much in the way of comfort. She didn't actually think anything could or would happen to them down here, but it was eerie to say the least. "I'm not even sure I'd want to know how that'd happen."
