She'd told Danny she would do it and even though she'd taken her time finding one of the doctors that she wanted to work with, eventually she'd settled with Wanda. It wasn't only because Wanda was the only female doctor available, but that was definitely part of it. There was just a lot of shit that Kate couldn't imagine trying to talk about with any of the other doctors. Of course, given how little she knew about the whole thing, maybe she wouldn't have to talk about any of that.
Danny just said that she had to be given clearance to shoot the gun. Maybe she didn't need to talk about any of the stuff that drove her crazy. Or maybe that was exactly what she was supposed to talk about.
Still, she tried not to look nervous as she waited, her fingers drumming against her leg. This was what Danny wanted her to do, so she was doing it.
