"Want to play?" Kate asked, offering the guitar. "I wish we had our own instruments. Like, a drum set we could just use all the time and we could just play together. Right now." She would not use the word jam, no matter what happened. It was simply not possible for her to do.
"It's kinda cool, being able to make music," she admitted, almost sheepishly. "I never really thought about it before."
