"It's like, independent," Kate answered. "Like when people go off and do music and stuff without funding. At least, I think that's what it is." Beyond dancing, she'd never had a whole lot of experience in the arts and even her mom's paintings didn't really count as knowing anything.
"We can all totally think on it and come back with some suggestions," she said.
