Kate grinned, unable to help herself, then went to the other end of the pool where she could walk down the gentle slope that led to the deep end so she could investigate the money and the other stuff that had been left behind.

"I don't think there's enough money to dive into here," she pointed out, lifting a fallen board to look under it. "But there's a bag of potato chips. Gross."
