"I don't know how to shoot the gun," Kate said with a shrug. "I mean, I get that there's a bunch of safety stuff I need to know first and that I need lessons and classes, but I just sort of want to get there eventually. Not because I'm all excited about a gun, but because it freaks me out. Having it there, but not knowing how to use it. I dunno, it just... it freaks me out."

That was all she could say about it, because she didn't know how to explain it better than that. "And Danny's great," she added. "Definitely not an idiot." Having him around had become really important to her.
