Even that sounded like Shoshana and Kate leaned back on the bed, the plate on her stomach, her glass of water untouched on the floor. It was one of the last things her mother had ever said to her; an alter accusing her of hiding behind costumes and anger just so she wouldn't have to face things head on, but Kate was fine with that. She didn't need to face things head on.

"Well, I'm a teenager," she answered, looking over at Danny. "So I guess I just have a ways to go before I stop trying to burn shit down when I'm pissed off."
