Marshall had always been a relatively heavy sleeper. He didn't toss and turn. He didn't wake up multiple times in the night. His sleep schedule was relatively strict, with him falling asleep and waking up at roughly same time every day.

He'd gotten to bed late, and he'd planned on actually sleeping in, for once, so when he heard someone calling his name, it didn't register right away that this wasn't a voice he recognized. "What? God, Katie, what time is it?" he grumbled, lifting his head and cracking open an eye, his vision still too blurry to make out more than a hazy outline of his sister sitting up in her bed.
